FESTIVAL OF DARWIN

REQUIRE OFFICIALS AND HELPERS FROM SUNDAY 18TH  TO TUESDAY 20TH MAY 6 – 9PM EACH NIGHT.

 

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE A HUGE CONTRIBUTION TO THE INCENTRE SHIELD MEET LAST SATURDAY NIGHT.

 

OBSERVATION FROM THE REGISTRAR

 

The seven year old boys make an outstanding attendance and participation effort each week. If they keep this up they will be tough competition for the junior trophy at the end of the season.

 

BBQ

WE REQUIRE A FEW GENTLEMAN TO ASSIST IN COOKING THE BBQ ON FRIDAY NIGHTS PLEASE.

 

NOMINATION FORMS FOR THE INTERCENTRE SHIELD ON THE 31/5/03  IN KATHERINE ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE HELP DESK.  NOMINATIONS CLOSE 23/5/03.

 

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A CHANGE TO THE 6 YEAR OLDS FROM SHOTPUT TO DISCUS.

 

COACHING COURSES:

 

WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF ARRANGING A SCHEDULE FOR THE CORRESPONDENCE COURSES TO TAKE PLACE, THANKYOU TO THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE SHOWN INTEREST, GREAT TO SEE.

 

 

Intercentre Shield

Round 2 will be held in Katherine on the weekend of the 31st May 2003 from 2 – 6pm.

 

We have been advised that Knotts Crossing is booked out if you were considering staying there whilst in Katherine.

A bus will be available at a cost of $25.00 per head, please let the help desk know if you are interested so we can book if necessary.

 

NORTH QUEENSLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS:

 

WE HAVE RECEIVED A GENEROUS  OFFER FROM LYN DOWLING TO ASSIST IN FUNDRAISING FOR THE ABOVE EVENT, THANKYOU VERY MUCH LYN, BUT REMEMBER THAT SHE CANNOT DO IT ON HER OWN.

PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED FROM EVERYONE  IN THE 12 AND UP AGE GROUPS TO MAKE IT A SUCCESS AND THE MORE YOU PUT INN THE MORE YOU RECEIVE.

 

POSITIONS VACANT:

Our AGM will be held on our Presentation Day in September this year (which is not far away!!).

All positions are declared vacant. We wish to advise that the people holding current positions will not be re-nominating:-

President, Equipment Manager,  In order to make the transition a smooth one could those persons whom are interested in any of the above positions make themselves known in order to commence training to make the take over as smooth as possible for all parties.

 

TRACK NEWS:

CAN ALL ATHLETES WHOM WEAR SPIKES PLEASE ENSURE THAT THEY REMOVE THEM IMMEDIATELY AFTER A RACE AND PRIOR TO LEAVING THE TRACK. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE.

 

SECONDLY, NO ATHLETE WILL BE PERMITTED ONTO THE ARENA OR COMPETE WITHOUT SHOES, ONCE AGAIN A SAFETY ISSUE.
